Thoughts of a rabbit #917
Jul. 27th, 2009 08:12 amWhilst lying around not getting to sleep in a hurry last night, I randomly got thinking about hugging around furries, and how I tend to act in such situations. I know my furcode has something akin to 'I'll hug anything until it moves and if it doesn't move I'll hug it until it moves' listed in it, but it actually seems a lot more varied than that.
Online - Online, I'm pretty huggy with anyone. I suppose in that sense it is a very simple to type a word, and also having a ludicrously oversized tail makes allsorts of random permutations of it possible.
Offline - At furmeets etc however, it is much more restrained. Whilst I don't mind being hugged in the slightest, most of the time I only actively push them myself with a very small number of people (<5 probably) I know very well. This does lead to some awkward looking goodbye situations sometimes where neither of us know what to do, and is not because I have anything against it, it just seems to be how I act. o.O
Fursuiters - I decided to tuck this one on the bottom here as it's one of the oddest ones. Whereas everyone always seems to squee and hug fursuiters, oddly I seem to hug them less than anyone else. o.o There is definitely no deliberate reason behind that, but when I was running through a list of names yesterday I can only really remember hugging Coli and Hawthorn whilst in suit, and that's about it. If any other suiter remembers being hugged by me at some point, please leave answers on a postcard! =:P
Hugs - such a theoretically simple thing, yet such a complete mix of responses.
