May. 19th, 2004 04:28 pmWell, they released Fedora Core 2 Linux yesterday, which I'd been holding off downloading until the final build was out. I've spent the last 2 days messing about with that, and some other general tinkering with this thing. After all that time, the status of my system is now...
1) Music plays on startup - I've no idea why it didn't before
2) Logjam no longer works, and I can't for the sake of me find the spelling library it's supposed to be missing
3) My WinTV USB device.... still doesn't work, however I can now get the red-light to come on. Woot!
4) It now plays encrypted DVDs correctly
5) Some virus checker program I vaguely recall installing a while back keeps flashing up errors during boot. I'll have to get rid of it... just as soon as I remember it's name.
6) Even the Grub Boot selector is customized with a Watership Down screengrab now. The one on this icon actually... although it doesn't look quite as spectacular reduced to only 14 colours. =:o
(and filling in that quiz certainly gave me a laugh)
