Jun. 12th, 2004 01:03 pmWow! That was quicker than I'd expected. I only won the auction on a processor eBay on Thursday, and the item arrived this morning. I liked the novel way it was packed too... namely in a CD case. =:) My old PC is now the proud...er... owner of a 500Mhz K6/2. Okay, they're not spectacular by today's standards, but when it's a step up from an overclocked-to-250Mhz Cyrix, the difference is quite noticeable! =;)
This leaves me with a new problem to ponder over though. What to do with the old processor. I mean the possibilities are endless. Just off the top of my head:-
* Throw it out of a high window
* Drop a large heavy object on it
* See if cola can dissolve it
* Microwave it (No, I am *not* suicidal!)
* Uncover a way to implant it into minds and create a cyborg race with the ability to shift tiny pebbles (Well, it is a Cyrix)
