Bah, why is it you never realise just how much of the stuff on your site uses register_globals until the host decides to turn it off. I've already had to do some changing of my own scripts (bad PHP coding practices on my part I know, but then isn't that what programmers do? =:P) though I thought I'd already updated to the RG compliant version of the Guestbook used on the site a while back. Obviously not! =:\

(Edit 10am - Bah, and the guestbook author changed the way he stores data between versions, resulting in a total mess on the GB. I guess I'm going to have to hack at it myself later when I have the time)

More than anything, I found register globals annoying. Made it less work, but more difficult to keep track of variables!

With simple scripts though (as most of mine are as I'm lazy =;)) it was incredibly useful.
