Random stuff

On a whim I got poking through the LJ console commands, and ended up finding there's a ban_list. It was rather surprising to see how many names were on there, given I don't even recall the names in some cases. I decided to wipe slate on that thing anyway, as that's an 'old hat' way of doing things.

I am poking and exploring on stuff in general, what with all kinds of books on new directions falling into my lap[1], as well as trying to form more of a firm plan of self improvement for the future in general. Doubtless if there's anything which I can span to more than 2 lines in an LJ post over the coming months, it'll pop up on here too. =;)

As a final note, I had a great time at the Chester meet last weekend (even if it would have been nice if there'd been some better communication on the Sunday =:P), including discovering the Chester Backpackers to be a very good place. This is the first time I've been back to the city of the crazy subways since I visited with Skip in 2006. =:o Thanks to everyone who turned up, and it was especially good to see the otter himself again!


[1] Not literally of course, as the weight of these things would cripple me!

They're not crazy, they're cultural landmarks! The culture being that of scary chav kids, muggers and beggars, like the guy we had to go past twice... :)

It was good to see someone in suit, and that the weather held out for it in the end (I know it had been touch and go for a few days). I'm just sorry I missed some of the fun at the County Hall/Ampitheatre whilst off herding furries. =:P

Now that would be an interesting sight to see... though I realise now you're probably going to manage to find a piece of furry artwork somewhere on the net depicting this very scene now. *giggles*
