I've never understood why so many people are obsessed with burying or hiding the past. Whilst there are times we'd all like to forget things, you cant deny that it's your past that gets you to your present and future, so don't ignore it's existence. :P

For me, the past is too hurtful and it only makes me depressed and punish myself. It's best for me to forget some things even if they do pop up or I get reminded from time to time.

I try not to think about the past too much, largely because I'm embarrassed at the idiocy I've formerly displayed. ;3

I suppose to some extent it depends on just what has or hasn't happened. But in some cases, you can genuinally learn from things that have happened. It ain't always easy accepting what has happened of course, but it IS possible to learn from it now and again. :)
