Yay for VAT cuts... now I'm going to have to spend the rest of the week changing all those 17.5% calculations on all our websites to 15%, and making sure it all still adds up. It's helping keep me in a job! :D

(Also, I wonder if Poundland will pass the VAT cut onto consumers...)

17½% is a perfectly nice number. Divide the amount by 10 to get 10%, then divide that by 2 to get 5%, then that by 2 to get 2½%, and add the lot up.

Much easier than silliness like France's 19.6% :D
