I've been saddened and really shaken today to hear Brian Jacques, author of the famous Redwall series, has passed away aged 71, as it seemed to come so unexepectedly to me. I picked up the first book of the series back in 2005, and have gathered nearly every book since, even if I've yet to still get through a few of them. Full of heroic characters, and bringing a touch of magic to any species and the woodlands, without a doubt this author and his series have made a huge impact upon my life, second only to Richard Adams and Watership Down.
It's safe to say, he will be sorely missed! :(
*big big hugs* out to all those I know this author meant an awful lot to as well. Being around furries, its no exaggeration to say he touched a lot of us!
