*gasps* Yep, that's the longest I've ever been out and about in a single day, having set out at 9.30 this morning and only arriving back at 8pm. The worrying thing is, I just can't keep away from the net even for that long. I checked my email multiple times from the wap on my phone (and even replied to one via text), checked my website was working via a friends fancy phone, and even checked my LJ friends list and email properly from a BT Broadband Phonebox. I...I'm not obsessed with the net though, I swear. =;)

Actually I should have been back earlier, but I had something of great importance to do whilst out. Basically it can be summed up as follows; I definitely hate Ice Tea! I already suspected I did despite never having had any. Even so, I went out of my way to try some as I was on a promise to someone that I would, and when I make a promise I do all I can to stick to it. Actually finding this stuff turned out to be much more difficult than expected though. There was no trace in the Newcastle branch of Safeway (which is practically complete changing to Morrisons now =:P), nor in Marks And Spencers. An hourlong trip to Durham (yes, this is how determined I am =;)) finally turned up a bottle of Lipton Lemon Ice Tea in the Safeway there (it's a bigger branch it would seem). As their ads say, I have now tried it, even finishing the whole bottle (I never do things by halves), so I can now happily knock it. It's horrid stuff! =:P Thank you for taking the time to read this public announcement.

(ps - Oh, and just for anyone wondering, no I haven't felt any sudden interest in waxing my legs or dressing in spandex as a result of drinking this stuff. =;))

Ooh, and I can't believe I didn't mention it on the last entry. The other thing I did in Newcastle today was to see Shrek 2 at the cinema. It's not a bad film, although I wish there'd been more of Dragon in it. There was something about that character I liked in the first one, which I still think was better overall. I do think John Cleese sounds a lot less like John Cleese these days mind. =:P

It's weird in that this must be the first time I've been to a cinema in about 4 years, and I'd forgotten just how much cinema pictures flicker compared to standard video. That left me with a bit of a headache afterwards, but I soon recovered. Perhaps I'll get out to that place more often. There's that new film with some tigers out soon isn't there, which I may be able to persuade some to go too. I'd much prefer that over Garfield and certainly over *cough* 'Thunderbirds'. Mind I should be careful with my money now that I'm into the overdraft once more. I should really be saving up for fun later in the year instead. =:)

(*giggles* With all this talk of films, I'm starting to sound like our resident Red Panda film buff. =;))
